MUST KNOW HOW TO SHARE ACCESS ON GOOGLE MY BUSINESS

Whenever you hire a new company to help with your website or marketing. You must be able to grant access to your accounts and assets, and for that, you’ll need to take some steps to make sure you do it right.

There are some steps to Share Google My Business Access Using Your Laptop or Desktop Computer:

Step 1: Choose a Role for the New User

  • Owners can do whatever they want to do in the account. Anyone who manages your listings, including removing your duplicate listings, will need this level of access.
  • Managers can do almost the whole thing owners can do, but they can’t add or remove users, nor can they eliminate listings.
  • Site Managers may only work with the content on the account. For example, they can post light edits on your behalf, push outposts, respond to the reviews, and download insights. You can provide this level of access to an intern, assistant, customer service specialist, or virtual assistant who might be liable for handling review responses and keeping post content new.

Step 2: Sign in to the Google My Business account, and you’ll see the dashboard.

Step 3: Select Your Location

Then, click on the name of the location to open it.

  • If you log into the incorrect Google My Business account, either you won’t see your location, or you’ll see a screen asking, “What’s the title of your business?”
  • If you have multiple locations, you’ll repeat these steps to share the access for each site individually.

Step 4: Click on the Users in the Left Navigation

After this, you’ll get a pop-up box, and it will show the names of everybody who already has access and their current roles.

Step 5: Click the “Add” icon on the Upper Right Side of the Box, and you’ll get the option to enter an email address.

Step 6: Enter the Email Address provided.

Step 7: Now, Use the Drop-down Menu to choose the designation.

Step 8: Inform the New User

Please send an email to let them know that you’ve completed all the steps so that they can check on their end to be sure everything is working correctly.
